COMMITTEES

WHY JOIN A COMMITTEE?

Headed by a member of the CSC Leadership Team, committees give you the opportunity to directly get involved in the activities of CSC. Examples of things you could be tasked with include identifying volunteer events, preparing lobbying briefs for discussions with local lawmakers, and imagining how we can further expand the reach of CSC. 

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Description: 

Are you interested in determining how CSC can close the achievement gap? On the education committee, we'll do just this along with scheduling tutoring opportunities and brainstorming long-terms solutions in partnership with the lobbying committee.

LOBBYING COMMITTEE

Description: 

Are you interested in convincing local and statewide lawmakers to make systemic change in the areas of food insecurity and education inequality? On the lobbying committee we'll do just this, preparing briefs and talking with community members to determine appropriate policy, along the way.
